Two Muse Productions
Two Muse Productions and SODA (School of Dramatic Arts) are based on the Sunshine Coast, Qld and we aim to inspire, to amuse, to inform and educate. Productions and workshops are designed to support young people’s creative practice with strong links to curriculum programs and professional experience.
Our program includes productions which will enable young people to work alongside professional performers and theatre personnel in partnership. Young people who wish to be involved in this program (Club SODA) can do so through an audition and expression of interest process.
Relevant workshops will also be offered which will explore ideas and drama processes related to performance projects.
Two Muse Productions is headed up by:
Mary Eggleston is a Sunshine Coast based actor who runs SODA – The School of Dramatic Arts – and has been festival director and performer and worked with young people through Basil Grumble, The Australian Acting Academy and Commotion TIE company. She has performed in a range of theatre pieces on the Sunshine Coast, in Brisbane and overseas. In 2010 she appeared in La Ronde & Erotique produced by XS Entertainment, Cypress Trilogy with Leah Barclay for TreeLine and the Woodford Folk Festival and The Secret Lovelife of Ophelia with Fractal Theatre.
Sue Davis is a lecturer and writer, and formerly a drama teacher and HOD for over 20 years. Her work includes exploring the ways that new media and the pervasive technologies can be used for creating drama. She currently sits on state education advisory panels for Senior Drama and The Arts. Sue has extensive experience managing arts-based community projects and events, writing and directing performance work. She is one of the writers of the Senior Drama textbook ‘Dramatexts: Creative Practice for Senior Drama Students’.
